Artist Statement

Visual Serenity is at the core of my aesthetical value. I want to cultivate harmony through compositional sophistication. I am happy when I feel as if my images are singing in hearts of the viewers, like a symphony sounds at the climax of it’s crescendo.

I love for my images to epitomise the quality of Oomph (!) and to provide an access point for the viewer to enter into feelings of inspiration and aliveness. Ultimately, I endeavour to lift the spirit.

Expression is my bliss. Whether I am a flourishing artist, a failing artist, or an artist in recovery… throughout the whole cycle, no matter what the external reality is, the ability to express the essence of my soul, enables my spirit to continually soar…

You know there’s that quote from John Keats on Negative Capability? *https://www.poetryfoundation.org/learn/glossary-terms/negative-capability

Well, that very, very fine and subtle mystery that exists at the point of doubt/not knowing – prior to grasping for meaning… THAT comes across beautifully in your art… its almost like a zone of invisible silent space, where everything is beautiful and pure, like crystal… and I know you must harness spirituality in your work, because I only know about this feeling through deep silence…

Poetry

I am in awe, it feels like I have picked up a quality anthology of poems and stumbled across one that I would hasten to write snippets of in my commonplace book.
